The Ubiquiti UniFi AC In-Wall is a very small and discreet 802.11ac UAP device for flush mounting. It is a 2×2 MIMO 2.4GHz and 2×2 MIMO 5GHz Access Point with a transmission speed of up to 300 + 867Mb/s and supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards.

UAP-AC-IW is designed for offices and hotels. The antenna system includes 1 built-in antenna with a gain of 1dBi for the 2.4GHz band and 2dBi for the 5GHz band with a range of up to 25 meters.
It also fully supports roaming when transferring associated clients between individual APs.
Furthermore, as far as the interface is concerned, the device contains 3x 10/100/1000Mbps LAN with support for PoE In on the rear port and PoE Out on the front port, always via PoE standard 802.3af.

Power supply via PoE
The UAP-AC-IW is designed so that its use and installation are as simple as possible and, despite its low price, offers the highest possible equipment.
The UAP-AC-IW has a total of 3 Ethernet ports. The first port on the back is intended for powering the UAP-AC-IW via PoE using the 802.3af/at standard. To power the UAP-AC-IW, you can use any UniFi switch or PoE adapter with 802.3af/at power supply support, as well as a passive 48V adapter from Ubiquiti. There are 2 more ports on the front – one only for data and the other with support for 802.3af PoE power supply, e.g. for a VoIP phone. All Ethernet ports have a transmission speed of 10/100/1000Mbps.

Simple installation
A big advantage is the very fast installation using 2 screws one above the other with a spacing of 83 mm, primarily intended for American plastic boxes with dimensions (WxHxD): 57.2×95.3×85.7mm.

For the device, you need to download the original software called UniFi Network application from the official website, thanks to which the entire network can be controlled. The indisputable advantage of the UniFi Network application is that it is completely free without any restrictions!
This central management will allow you to upload maps and set basic parameters such as SSID, guest account, start page, traffic statistics and the list and status of associated clients always easily and quickly.
